Three ways to fix a Prius battery
Many Prius owners are quoted thousands for a dealer replacement. Depending on the pack's condition there is usually a cheaper route, and all three below come with the price up front.
- Prices are for battery pack work only. Removal and installation are through partner mobile mechanics.
- Dealer replacement is often $3,000 or more.
More than a single failed module replacement
A Prius reports its battery in pairs of modules, so a P0A80 points at a pair and other modules are usually falling behind by the time it sets. A driveway swap of the obvious module can get the car moving; testing every module out of the car is how we find the next ones to go.
